How long does it take to learn to meditate successfully?

Share this:

As long as you are present, as long as there is still success and failure, there is no meditation.

Meditation is no more than resting in natural awareness:

What happens, happens.
Nothing else ever happens.

In natural meditation, resting in the unconditioned mind, no criteria for success or failure are found. The whole issue ceases to occupy or trouble you. It is simply not there.

In meditation there is nothing special for you to do. Actually, it is impossible for you to meditate. Nevertheless, if you make yourself some quiet time to sit in a pleasant, comfortable place, with no particular aim or object, meditation may occur. Similarly to the sun or the rain. They occur, but it is not you that causes them to appear and disappear. Is it possible that you, also, are a natural phenomenon?

Enjoy your natural awareness, rest, peace and happiness,
