Even though the meditator may leave the meditation, the meditation will not leave the meditator.

“Even though the meditator may leave the meditation, the meditation will not leave the meditator.”
– Dudjom Rinpoche

At first there is a sense of effort and that “I” am doing the meditation.

One sign of progress is that the sense of effort decreases and finally disappears.

Eventually an awareness exists that the meditation takes place but the meditator does not appear. There is meditation in the sense that the meditation takes place but there is no longer a sense of anybody meditating.

There is no effort. Peace is complete.

I could not have said it any better myself. Thank you for these words of wisdom. Namaste.
